FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

• MAY I PICK MY SITE? We will try our best to accommodate any requests, but only site types can be guaranteed, we do not guarantee site numbers.

• MAY WE HEAD IN OUR SITE? All sites are designed for back in only. We do have a few sites available that we offer Head-In.

• MAY I PAY FOR ANOTHER RESERVATION? No, our Park policy requires one reservation per guest. The credit card must match the name on the reservation. This person must be staying in the RV and check in for the reservation with valid photo ID.

• HOW DO I CHECK AVAILABILITY? You may contact our office at 800-622-6052 or 310-456-6052.

• WHEN MUST I CHECK OUT? Check out time is 12:00 p.m. The park does not offer any late checkouts.

• ARE THERE EXTRA CHARGES FOR THE HOLIDAYS? There are some holidays that are accessed extra charges per night. These rates are added to the nightly rates as determined by the park. See Holidays schedule.

• CANCELLATION/MODIFICATION POLICY – We have a 72-hour cancellation policy. You must cancel or modify your reservation 72-hours prior to your check-in time (1:00 p.m.), or you will forfeit your deposit. Reservation number is required to cancel or modify a reservation. A $20.00 cancellation/modification fee is applicable to all reservations. Once checked in, there are “NO REFUNDS.”

• WHAT TYPE OF FIRES ARE ALLOWED? Propane fires only. No wood fires or charcoal BBQ fires.

• WHAT IS A PREMIUM SITE? – Our premium sites are generally larger and located on the 2nd level of the Park. They are for “MOTORHOMES ONLY”, Full hook-up Ocean View, back-in sites. We also offer a unique site with privacy & panoramic views on our first level.

• WHEN MAY I CHECK IN? Check in time begins at 1:00 p.m. (No Early Check-In)

• DO YOU HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES? Rates listed are before a 12% Malibu Occupancy Tax and are for 1 or 2 persons, 1 RV and 1 vehicle. Additional people (over age 5) carry a nightly fee of $5 per person. Additional vehicles (cars, boats, trailers, etc…) carry a daily/nightly fee of $10 per vehicle. Motorcycles carry a daily/nightly fee of $5. See “pet policy” for charges and pet rules.

• ARE PETS ALLOWED? Our tent area is pet-free. Pets are only permitted in the RV area. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed per RV site (Including visitors pets, which must be registered.) at a fee of $3 per pet per night. Pets must be leashed at all times and must use dog walks. Please keep pets off the empty sites. Owners are responsible to pick up after their pets and guest’s pet, there is no such thing as a Poop Fairy. Pets must never be left unattended. Please clean and remove pet food, this will help to prevent outside animals from coming into our park. Rattle snakes are not uncommon in our park. Pets are prohibited in the park’s restrooms and showers. Barking dogs are not acceptable. Breed restrictions (per insurance regulations) apply to aggressive and mixed aggressive breeds. They include the following breeds: Akita, American Bulldog, Chow, Doberman Pinscher, German Shepherd, Pit Bull, Rottweiler and no mixed Terrier breeds. Must know breed at time of reservation. L.A. County does not allow pets on the beach.

• HOW LONG MAY I STAY? Malibu Beach RV Park is a vacation destination. The maximum stay for an RV site is 30 nights in a Full hook-up site during the winter season. In the Summer the maximum stay is 4 weeks (28 nights). The maximum stay in a Water/Electricity site is 14 nights. After a maximum RV stay, the guest must depart the park for 7 nights. This may be done 3 times in a calendar year. Subletting is not permitted in the campground. Maximum stay in tent sites is 14 days per calendar year, with a maximum stay of 1 week. After a maximum tent stay, the guest must depart the park for 7 nights. This may be done 2 times in a calendar year.

• MAY I SLEEP IN MY VEHICLE? No. We do not allow anyone to sleep in their vehicles. You may only sleep in a Manufactured Recreational Vehicle on an RV site that has Water & Electricity hook-ups. Tent sites are available as long as you have an enclosed tent and meet requirements, see “What do I need to know about tent camping?” for more information.

• WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT TENT CAMPING? There is a tent camping area on the third level, separate from the RV sites and is a walk-in camping area. The registered guest must be 21 years of age to reserve a tent site. Maximum stay in a tent site is 14 days per calendar year, with a maximum stay of 1 week. After a maximum tent stay, the guest must depart the park for 7 nights. This may be done 2 times in a calendar year. No pets allowed in tent area. Tents are not allowed on RV sites. Rates listed are for 1 or 2 persons, 1 or 2 tents and 1 vehicle. A MAXIMUM OF 4 PEOPLE, INCLUDING VISITORS, AND 2 TENTS ARE ALLOWED PER TENT SITE. The tent and tent parking areas are pet-free areas. Your site comes with a picnic table. Propane fires only. No wood fires or charcoal BBQ fires. Tent campers must be checked in before dark. No sleeping in any vehicle at any time!

• WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT RV CAMPING? No tents allowed in the RV section. Propane fires only. No wood fires or charcoal BBQ fires. Maximum number of people per RV Site is 7, including visitors. 2 pets max including visitors. No enclosed rooms/tents can be attached to Recreational Vehicles. Screen rooms may be used for sun protection during the day.

• MAIL – We accept guest mail, and packages while you are a REGISTERED GUEST. We do not forward or hold mail prior to arrival or after departure.
